	Electromagnetic Pipe and cable locating systems:




	Pipe and Cable locating systems detect electromagnetic fields generated from the flow currents in energized cables or re-rediation of signals from radio transmissions (passive detection). They also could trace AC signals (with different frequencies) introduced to the lines using generators (Active detection). The main features of these systems are as below: • Locating of metallic and non-metallic pipes (with sonde) • Plenty of active frequencies selectable from 512 Hz … 200 kHz • Locating depth- up to 8 meters • Menu navigation by symbols and text support for individual settings • Big display with back lit indicating the direction from which the signal is coming, the line’s image, the depth and the field strength • Ergonomically balanced and lightweight packaging • Single-trigger control • Simultaneous tracing of two facilities with different frequencies.

	Glassfiber Probe Systems:




	Non-metallic pipes do not produce an electromagnetic field therefore the GLASSFIBRE PROBE system is employed. The glassfibre probe, containing a continuous length of copper wire, is inserted into the pipe section to be located, connected to the signal generator and traced using the system.

	Acoustic location of non-metallic pipes:




	In the cases of non-metallic pipe detection, it is set into vibration by a sound generator, Striker or Stopper, from our system, and vibrations are transmitted along the pipe and over the soil to the surface where they can be detected by a microphone.

	Metal detectors:




	Sewerin company produces two models of metal detectors utilising two different detection methods:FERROTEC and M130. The FERROTEC reacts to changes of the terrestrial magnetic field caused by ferromagnetic metals (steel, iron, cast iron), so that no disturbances and error detections caused by non-ferrous metals and small metal objects will hinder the locating process.The Sewerin M 130 utilises discriminatory downward penetrating electrical circuitry to eliminate the unwanted indications and high impact ABS for added structural integrity.
